It was 2 min. but now it will be 20 min. I'll miss the commute but not the job.

Going to work, it takes 45-55 minutes.

Because I get out of work @2:30, there's no traffic, so coming home, it's around 30 minutes.

Approximately 1 hour in each direction. However, after Hurricane Sandy, it was about 2 - 2 1/2 hours in each direction.

Going to work -- 1 1/2 hours. Coming home -- a minimum of 2 hours.

Involves travel to a train station, train, and bus to downtown Chicago.

Do I win a prize? Would I if I told you my morning train leaves at 5:30 a.m. and I get home around 5:45 p.m.? Sigh.

My old commute was 6:30 to 6:30 for an 8 hour day. 1.5 hours each way IF no weather issues or accidents. As much as 3.5 hours 1-way in snow. I do not miss it

That's why I do appreciate the public transportation -- Unless there's an incident, the train is normally on time regardless of weather.

an hour and a half each way. If I have to transport to another town it can take 2hours. I enjoy it a lot. Its straight out open driving, only 2 lights. Plus I get paid for my drive time I leave home when the kids leave for school and home before they get out.

Funny thing was, I could move much quicker in heavy snow than light snow. 2"? Everyone is still going to work. 8"? Most say to heck with it

Mine is about 50 minutes in the morning and 40 coming home. Considering it used to be 1 hr 45 mins each way at my last job (train then subway), driving 40-50 minutes feels like heaven!

Always about 30 minutes, so why do I usually leave a minute or two late and have to rush? LOL
