Flying from baltimore
Eying to figure out what time is better...8:00 am flight that puts us in at 10:30 or 10:00 flight that puts us in at 12:30. Staying off site, so we will have to get luggage, rental car. Take a trip to grocery store.

IMHO the earlier the better. We usually go for the 6:30 a.m. flight from EWR.

I usually like early...I just don't want to start out the trip super early. Traveling with 3 young kids-7,4,2. I will have to get them up before 4 for a flight that early. And if we can't check in until later..then no nap time befor dinner

![]() Also for me, I find arriving early and going straight to hotel/resort, I have a better chance of my requests being honored. Requests such as a poolview or lakeview, floor level, building #, and things like that. The hotels/resorts usually say a room is assigned at checkin or date of arrival. I have found sometimes my room is already assigned by 10am even if its not ready. Sometimes I am pleased with room assignment and sometimes I am not. So being there early gives the opportunity to make any changes or have your requests honored. So far it has worked for me. But whatever you decide, have a FABULOUS time!!! |

I agree that the earlier the better. Less chance of delays if the plane is coming from someplace else first. I think it's best to book the originating flight.

I would chose the 10 am flight. You have to get up too early to make an 8 am flight.

10am. Offsite people have a different mindset. What's the rush?

Depends on how close do you live to the airport? I'd go for the later flight just because I don't like to rush. You didn't say what day of the week you are departing. If it's M-F don't forget about traffic and allow extra time if you have to get on the beltway.
Alos, just FYI for those that have to drive up the night before and stay over at BWI the Embassy Suites has a free breakfast and allows you to leave your car there for free all week if you stay before you fly out. |
