Help with Transfer in Houston???

We are going to fly in at 11:41 am the day we depart. Looks like we will be flying into IAH ( 90 minutes away). Does anyone have good advice on getting a transfer to the port? If we fly in the day we are leaving we dont have to pay for hotel. We would need two rooms or a room / living room comb. So this will save $$.
How did you get to the boat? HELP!!

This is not a good idea. If your flight is even half an hour late you run serious risk of missing the ship. IAH is easily 90 minutes from the port. It will take you at least an hour to collect your luggage and be on your way with whatever transfer you choose. That puts you leaving IAH at about 12:45. You will not arrive at the port until 2:15, and that's BEST CASE SCENARIO. The ship stops boarding passengers at 3:30, I believe. That gives you only about an hour of fudge room. The ship will not wait for you if your flight is delayed. I would fly in the night before. The $$ you would save otherwise is not worth the possibility of missing the ship. --Katie

Agree completely.

There are some reasonable rates for rooms right by IAH if you fly in the night prior. We got a suite for only 160 a night for all 6 of us at the Marriot Staybridge suites. They have a free shuttle from IAH to the hotel as well. Good luck.
