Makeup! I don't wear alot at all, but forgot everything for our Alaska cruise. I checked the Spa as soon as we got on the ship to see what they sold - nothing! They also said that the stores on the ship did not sell any. I felt like I looked horrible that night at dinner. When the ships store opened I found a makeup kit around $64 which I bought and will never use again. It made me feel better though for the rest of the trip. Now my DD10 makes sure I have my makeup bag with me before we leave our house.

We forgot our camera on our last WDW trip. It was also going to double as our video recorder, so we were heartbroken because our daughter was getting her first haircut at MK that trip. We ended up looking for a Best Buy kiosk at MCO (we used ME and didn't have a rental car). The prices on those are pretty similar to the stores, and cheaper than WDW prices for cameras.

Needless to say, the camera worked great for the entire trip, but when we got home, the shutter stopped working. Since we were in the 30 day window, we were able to return it and got a full refund since it was broken. So it worked out for us, that we basically had a rental camera .

I had bought a brand new camera for our 2 week (and 1st trip) to Universal/Busch Gardens/Sea World. I remembered the camera, but packed the wrong battery charger and extra battery. I had to search the web to find a compatible battery, go to the only store that carried it and I had to buy the whole camera in order to get the battery....ugh!!

Oh yeah....one more thing that I did, but it was't before the trip, but after....I am anal about unpacking everything and putting it in drawers, closets etc. I refuse to live out of a suitcase. So on one trip I forgot to take my husbands clothes back out of some of the drawers, and his extra shoes out of the closet of the hotel we were in, ROTL!!!! We came home with only half his clothes and no extra shoes! I was 5 months pregnant at the time so he was very understanding, but we still laugh hysterically to this day about it!

I am guilty of the former, and not a teenage girl. I had been talking to my MD to figure out how to let me skip my... and I had been working hard, taking all my pills, thought "I'm not due for a week..." What happens when we load the shuttle to get back to the airport after a great week cruise? Yep! And had none/nothing.

I forgot a t-shirt. I thought I was going to the Caribbean, it was going to be hot. Packed a top of the spray on sunscreen (which wasn't good), no t-shirt for just in case.... I was so red! All of my clothes were lower cut. Our waiter, Denise, was like "was it your intention to match your clothes to your sunburn?" I had packed red dresses formal and semi-formal night. Then this older lady (80+) at Castaway Cay was like "I'm so worried about your chest" (because it was burned...). I finally was like "I know, they're fabulous, and real." Never again.

My DH forgot to bring an entire suitcase on our Fantasy cruise!!!! Fortunately, we only live 45 mins from the port, so he drove back home and got it. That was the one (and only) time I ever let him pack the car for a trip. I guess he thought that one suitcase standing with all the others was for decoration?

It was his clothes, which is probably what motivated him to go back for it.

It wasn't for a disney cruise, but in college, my DH and I had just started dating when we decided to take advantage of super cheap airfare to go to london for spring break. I had a car on campus sO I drove to the airport and paid for parking at the long term lot. We took the shuttle to the termiinal, got into the airport and to security when I realized I left my wallet in the car console rather than putting it back in my bag after paying for parking. I did have my passport with me for international travel and was able to use that to get on the plane. But for the entire week we were traveling, he had to pay for EVERYTHING. Gave me some cash for my own incidentals and used credit card for everything else (and we split the bill when it came thru). Now we had only known each other a short while so this was really embarrassing ( we were stilli n the"best behavior" stage).
And to think weve been married 10 years now! No bad packing issues beyond that.

This made me laugh, but only because last year, as we were 1 hour away from home on our way to the airport (a 2-hr drive away), we suddenly realized we had forgotten DS3's carry-on - his Cars suitcase ... which basically contained all the stuff to entertain him for our flights, AND, included his "sleeping friends" (never to be left behind). Fortunately, we had lots of time since we were driving up the day before our flight, and so DS3 and I got dumped at a horrible small-town mall, while my husband did the 2 hour round trip. It was 100% our fault - we had hidden the bag the day before since someone kept trying to "help" and repack the thing...

Otherwise, my husband, Mr. "I like to pack months in advance" has since switched his approach after forgetting all his swim shirts last year when we went South.

DH forgot his American Express Card. We were in Harrisburg, PA (about an hour from home) when I asked him if he had it. He said yes. I should have asked to see it, but I let it go. If we had realized he didn't have it, we could have still gone back home & just lost 2 hours of drive time. Instead, he realized it about 16 hours later just as we got into South Carolina when he went to order something online and couldn't find it. I had gotten him a new wallet for the trip and when he moved the stuff from old to new his card apparently stuck in the old one and didn't get transferred. We called AmEx and asked if there was a way to get a new card. (I had my VISA, but had called the bank before we left to let them know that we were only going to use it on the cruise & at WDW after.) AmEx tried to find a place that could do a replacement card. One place was 300 miles away on the other side of Georgia, 2 others were in Florida, Miami & Ft. Lauderdale. There was no way we could get to any of them before they closed at 5:30 pm. They said they could overnight it to our hotel by 5 pm the next day. When we explained we would be on the ship by then and asked if they could send it to port they said no, hotel only. Then they said they would overnight it to our hotel after the cruise and it would be there when we got there. We had to pay cash for our room the night before the cruise, but they still wanted a credit card to hold. They wouldn't talk to AmEx, who had said they would do a phone approval.
When we got to the hotel after the cruise (Labor Day weekend Saturday) and asked if it was there, they had nothing. The front desk at the hotel finally tracked it down to their mail box at the post office. The don't get Saturday deliveries and the next delivery was Tuesday by 5 pm. We were leaving Tuesday morning to go home. Finally the Desk Manager went to the Post Office & picked up the mail. The post office was 40 minutes round trip. What a relief that we finally had it. I filled in a card with good reports on the front desk girl and her manager for being so helpful in getting everything taken care of for us. The worst part of the whole thing is someone at AmEx decided to go cheap and instead of overnighting it they sent it regular first class mail. If it had been overnighted, it would have been delivered to the hotel on Saturday.

From now on, I will not only ask DH if he has the card, I will ask to see it!

Funny you mention that because I ended up forgetting some items I needed to go swimming. I went to several restrooms to use the vending machines and none of them would work. I ended up having to buy some at the guest services desk. A bit embarrassing. LOL!

I am the OP, just back from the Fantasy. What did we forget?? OUR CAMERA!!!! We forgot it in our vehicle in the airport parking lot!! I was very sad, and dissapointed myself! Seriously, lets go on a once in a life time vacation and not bring out camera so we have no pictures to remember it!! As it turns out, the iPhone takes pretty good pictures, and is very continent to carry around. I just wish I would have thought to turn it sometimes. All of our pictures are vertical!!! Lol
