Driving me nuts is a short trip!
The TF wishes you a Happy Birthday even if you do run like a duck!

My best advice for you is to use priceline.....I always use them and never pay more than $65 a night. Just bid on zone 10.... 3 and a half star and you will get a great rate and nice place!
Just do not stray from zone 10.... 31/2 star.

I've stayed at the Marriott (not in the airport)
Ramada suites
and Country inn and suited all using priceline and saved 40 to 60% off all my stays.

Ok, of course you can get any hotel, but I would love to stay at the Hyatt in the airport, and I plan to go on Priceline. I know there's a good chance we will get the other airport that's 3 1/2 stars, one mile from the airport, but we are ok with that too. I have checked website where people report winning bids and what hotel it was...Hyatt has had 40 winning bids in the last 12 months for around $50 per night! If I can get it for that, sold! I would also be fine with the other hotel, as we are renting a car and would just drive there...but our flight gets in at 10:30 at night and we don't want to drag the kids far...just want to sleep!

Priceline is a great idea, as long as you don't need more than 1 bed as there are no guarantees. Usually the hotels will accomodate you with a 2-br room, but there's always that risk.

If you MUST have a 2-bedroom then go with hotwire.com as you can specify the # of people.
