surprise BDay trip for child turning 10!
Just wondering where we should have dinner for our DD who will turn 10 the day we arrive at WDW.
She may inadvertently tell us before we leave, but I want something planned in case we can't get in where she chooses. We have done CRT, BOG, Chef M's, Liberty Tree, Akersaus, Sci-Fi, Italy. DH was thinking Whispering Canyon. What do you all think. The last trip her 2nd favorite thing was CRT, but I was hoping for something that would make a big deal out of her bday. Double digits don't you know. (which of course we all know means paying adult prices.. )TIA

Maybe 1900 Park Faire. My daughter enjoyed that, it's a buffet with Cinderella and friends. We have great pics with Prince Charming and the fairy godmother!! It may be a good sub for having to do CRT?!?!

I am not sure what kind of eater she is; but if she really like princessess - Akershus Royal banquet Dining in Norway with Princessess; Whispering Canyon can be rowdy depending on the server; 50's Prime Time would be a cool experience for her 10th birthday; or for the ULTIMATE FINE DINING EXPERIENCE for her 10th birthday is Victoria & Albert's (no kids under 10 allowed). I hope these suggestions help.

We celebrated my daughter's 9th and 11th birthday at the Crystal Palace with Winnie the Pooh and friends - it's a festive atmosphere and they even bring a birthday cupcake (if you note on your ADR it's for her birthday). We enjoyed both visits and Winnie and Friends make a big deal if you tell them its her birthday. Have fun whichever restaurant you choose!!

We celebrated DS's 10th birthday at Crystal Palace. He's been a Pooh & Eeyore fan all his life. Definitely list on ADR that you are celebrating a birthday... she'll get a card and a cupcake, as well as lots of attention from the characters.

We'll be in Disney for my daughgter's 10th bday March 2014. No surprise though, she knows. This may sound odd, but she has chosen Hoop Dee Do Revue for her actual birthday dinner, it's our arrival day. She loved it this past year, but she was kind of sick and couldn't eat. She really wants to try the food. She loved the show and wants to see it again. Also, they made a big deal for birthdays, specifically requesting it be their Actual birthday (though I'm sure a few lied).
No idea if this would interest your daughter at all, just another idea |
