Port to Resort via DCL Transport

I am sure this has been asked and answered but I can't find it searching! Most of the posts are about MCO to port or WDW to port!

We've booked DCL transport from port to resort (POFQ). Can anyone give me more information on how this works? Is there a set time to depart the ship? Can I get off whenever I want and there are multiple buses leaving throughout the morning? How long to get to resort? (I realize there could be multiple stops so there's probably a time range there...60 minutes? 90 minutes?)

All I really understand is that I get off the ship, gather my luggage and get on the bus...but when?

Thanks!

What has happened for us in the past is that once you leave the terminal there is a Disney rep asking you what resort you're going to. After you tell them, they tell which bus you'll be on, usually they group 2-3 resort destinations (close to each other) onto one bus. When the bus is full, or nearly full it leaves. For us in October 12', it took a little over 1hr15min from port to Art of Animation with stops at Pop Century and All-Star Music beforehand.
We only had to wait in the bus about 20minutes before takeoff too.

You may leave the ship whenever you like, once it has been cleared by Customs and Immigration. They run multiple buses all morning to all of the resorts. However, if you wait until later (say 9:00am when they want everyone off the ship) you may end up on a bus with several resort stops.

You are assigned a breakfast time on debarkation morning, which is based on your dinner seating - early dinner = early breakfast, late dinner = late breakfast. Though if the time doesn't suit you can have breakfast at the buffet instead. Debarkation begins around 7:30am or whenever the ship is cleared by customs. If you have your bags you can walk off immediately and through customs. If you put your bags out the night before, you'll have to claim them in the terminal before passing through customs. It's a fairly simple and quick process though. The DCL transfer buses are lined up - someone will ask which resort and direct you to the correct bus; buses likely service up to 3 resorts. Depending on how quickly the bus fills you may wait a little for more passengers. We were checked-in at CBR and sitting by the pool before 9:30am.

Enjoy your cruise!

Thank you all for quick replies! We cruised in August so I'm familiar with the basic debarkation stuff, but we had a car parked nearby at Park N Cruise so the morning was a little different! Cruising just ds and I this time and planning to go to Epcot after checking in at POFQ so I was trying to get an idea of what time we'd arrive at POFQ and then to Epcot.

It sounds about like I expected, so I'm pleased with the time frame. We have early seating and will probably go to our assigned MDR that morning vs Cabanas. Not sure I want to fight the people at Cabanas with our carry-on luggage, too. DS is too young to fix his own plate so I'd have to leave everything at a table--probably ok, but it makes me nervous!
