I cannot get the stupid FAFSA website to work. When selecting colleges he is interested in, it just sits and spins and spins. UGH! I'm hating this whole thing already!

What are you using for a browser? If not IE, try that.

Sorry, yes. If you are not using Internet Explorer, try to use that instead of Safari, Firefox, Chrome, etc.

Using plain old internet explorer. I posted on the word of the year thread that my word would be hopeful. Guess its appropriate since I hopefully will have this registration done before he leaves for college.

Could it be really busy? Maybe a lot of people are trying to use it at the same time.

You're right. That's probably the problem. Keeps telling me my session is timing out, but I've not even gotten a list to choose from.

FAFSA is probably getting hit pretty hard.. everyone trying to get a jump on the info they need to input.. which reminds me.. I have to sit down w/ DD to deal with this over the weekend... then we will just plug official numbers in where we need them when it's time...

Danielle, remember you'll need to go back in around Feb 3rd to pull your info in for IRS Retrival tool...
It's a double check to what you will have already entered...

I have it open... but haven't gotten any further cause I don't have time.. but it's up and running... and I use IE (internet explorer).

I was finally able to get the schools downloaded. I googled the message I was receiving and found out it was a compatability issue. I had to allow it to access the information. Why didn't it just say that?

Thanks for all the help! Info is all in and now will just have to wait for February. This year is going to be a nightmare if everything works the way this form did.

Filling out the initial form was the hardest thing we did last year. Everything else was relatively easy
