Someone get me excited about poly again please
I was hoping to get a room at CR or upgrade our poly to TPV with the new promo, although the original room only is better, and there is no availability at either resort for our dates.
is it wishful thinking that someone might cancel? I was sooooo excited about the Poly but now am disappointed with pool maybe being closed and Samoa out for refurb. Someone get me excited again! |

Over several years and several trips, my family has stayed 33 nights at the Poly. Our requests have always been granted. We have never regretted staying there. We are going back in July. Hope you love it too!

Sounds like you love the poly!!! maybe you could offer me some advice? We had requested Samoa but now it is out for refurbishments
![]() I then requested Toleaku, good choice?? The pool is supposed to reopen three days before we arrive, if it doesn't do you think it is still worth it to stay there? thanks |

We have stayed in Rarotonga, Fiji and Hawaii CL. Always requested 3rd floor and it was granted. All buildings are nice locations as resort is not big. However, closer to GCH is our preference. To be honest, for our family, we would stay at the Poly during renovations of Longhouses. However, would not stay at Poly during renovations of restaurants or Volcano pool. We use the main pool and beach a lot during our stay. We have even been in the pool during Wishes and watched. It was fabulous. I know they would offer another resort's pool. To me, that is highly inconvenient for the high price tag. You seem torn and I understand. Go with your gut. You will know what feels right for your family. I hope you have a wonderful vacation!

Thanks. I am torn as it is a lot if money. If CR were available I would switch. we r only there two nights and only doing mk so being far like at beach club makes no sense. Arrival and departure days were planned as beach/pool days. I wish I knew if they would finish on time. If I knew it would be done for sure I would relax.

I don't know if this will be of any help, but I do know that people cancel all the time. If you have the time to keep hitting the refresh button on your computer every so often, all day , the rooms suddenly do become available. It may not be the room you wanted, and you'll have to make another decision, keep it or keep trying, but if you have some time before your trip, you may want to try it. I've done it within a week of our trip and was able to change. I'm not suggesting that you wait that long, but for a couple of days you may want to try if you have enough time before you will be going. Good luck! |

We've stayed at the Poly two times. The last time we stayed in September was great. So far nothing compares. We stayed in Tokelau third floor overlooking the quiet pool. Great location! Close to TTC! The views walking to the GCH and TTC are beautiful. Love the beach and the fireworks and water pageant from the beach. Also movies on the beach too!
We had breakfast and dinner at Kona, which was great. For dinner we asked for and received the bread pudding from 'Ohana! We took the boat from the Magic Kingdom back to the Poly two nights. It was a great way to travel back to the Poly. Its a short walk to the Grand Floridian where we had three of our meals. We didn't go to the luau this time, but that is great to try if you haven't. I would stay there again in a minute! Take a look at my trip report/dining report. There are photos of the Poly and Kona! You will not regret staying there!

That's good to know about the bread pudding. That's our favorite part of Ohana .
