Blue Lagoon Dolphin Encounter

Would you recommend it for a 9 year old girl? How much are the pictures and video? Do you have to tip anyone?

Yes!!! My son was 7 when we did. My dad and I also did the sim with him. Do the swim, it is worth the extra cost. I do not remember the prices but I am sure it is on their website. You will want the DVD and pics if you do the swim.

We did the Blue Lagoon swim when my son was 8. Definitely a great experience. The pics were $20 each at the time but there was also an option for an album but you need to purchase that before you start the swim. It was around $100. We now have a wonderful album with pictures and facts about blue lagoon and included in it were 20 beautiful, full colour pics of my son and I with the dolphins. Pics are 4x6 up to 8x10s. We also received the pics on a DVD along with a letter releasing the copyright to us. We had extra interaction time with the dolphins as the trainer and photographer worked to get us good shots and enough for our album. Everyone is our group was looking at it and most mentioned wishing they had gotten it. Can't remember the cost of the video sorry - we just went with the pics. Hope this helps.

THanks so much for the answers to this. I had wanted to do the swim and then thought "Is the extra money really worth it?" Glad to hear from someone that it is, so we'll do it.
And BeardedDragon--we have a beardie

We did the Blue lagoon dolphin swim in October with my two sons and our two neices ages range from 6-9. So much fun! The dolphin swim was fabulous! The highlight of our trip. We spent 5 days in Disney World before we cruised and 3 nights on the Dream. All the kids talked about was the dolphin swim! So worth the price. We bought the video and 5 5x7's for around $120.00. The video is great. The kids said they would not do the swim part, but I bribed them into doing it and they were so glad they did. It was their favorite part! Have fun!

We did the swim last year when kids were 7 and 11. Both loved it. I recall they had a morning time and afternoon time. We did the afternoon. I wished I did the morning and would have had the day to enjoy the beach there. They had some fun blow-ups in the water for the kids to play on and the water was so clear. Kids were not happy we had to leave shortly after visiting the dolphins. They wanted to stay and play.

We were there for a full day and did enjoy the beach. There was a nominal charge for using the blow up rides they had but my son was on them forever and loved it. I think it was only something like $5. They also had a giant size chess set and checker board to use. Beach wasn't crowded. There was a bar and snack stand. If you walked behind that there was a little path that led to a beautiful quiet area of beach with some large rocks. Got some awesome photos there!

Bahacca - Our beardie is "Steven" and he's a little over one. Aren't beardies fun?! We also have 2 leopard geckos, a corn snake, a Gold Dust Gecko and a cat (Douk).
