Post Cruise Rental Pickup Time?

I'm trying to decide what pickup time to use for my rental car at Budget post-cruise. Right now I have it as 10:00 AM, since I have late breakfast seating. However, if the weather is nice that day, I want to get off the boat ASAP (going to go to breakfast earlier) and try to get off by 7:30 AM so I can get to WDW and spend the day by the pool (I have an early evening flight). If I leave my time as 10am, and I get there earlier, like around 8, is it likely that my car will not be available yet? On the other hand, if I change it to earlier pickup at 8am, and I dont get there until later, would they cancel my reservation altogether?

I use a post-cruise pickup time of 8:30am. That time slot worked fine on my last cruise and I'm using it again for my next cruise.

The big variable I observed was how long you have to wait for the rental car shuttle van to pick you up.

You may find that if you get there at 8:00 with a 10:00 am reservation that you are charged for an extra two hours. Then again, it probably depends on your actual rental quote and may not have any affect.

We usually set 9:00 as our pickup time.
