Are there ATM's on board or can you get cash from your onboard account if you put cash down on it? Just trying to determine how much actual cash I want to bring with us, esp. if we decide to get off the boat and take a taxi somewhere in Nassau. Thanks! (The taxi's accept US dollars, right?)

You can cash a blank check at customer service I believe up to $200.

Not a blank check. You have to fill it out (although they might have a stamp for the Payee line). I thought the limit was $100, but I could be wrong. You can only cash one check per person per cruise.

There are no ATMs onboard.

If you placed cash on your onboard account, you can get it back at any time. No ATMs on board, GS will cash a personal check. THere are ATMs in Nassau. Yes, most vendors, taxi, etc. in Nassau take US dollars with no problem at all. DO carry small bills--they "never" have USD for change and you don't want to get Bahamian dollars!

It's a good idea to carry small bills for incidentals, such as tipping porters, room service, postage at Castaway Cay, and DCL transfer bus drivers (who load and unload your luggage).

Also, at the Captain's Reception, I usually give the captain a few bucks for exceptional service. (Just kidding!)
