So many gifts as a castaway member, DVC member I can't keep it all straight. They are more expensive. I booked mine when the itinerary opened. Lots of kids but its a great time. Downfall of NYE was St Thomas the next day with Pirate night that night and San Juan next day. Makes a person tired. Having a blast though. Also the ship and characters are fabulous decorated for the holidays.
What kind of weather did you have? We are sailing NYE 2013 on the Fantasy and would love to know more about your cruise!

I looked this morning for next year NYE ON FANTASY and prices are stupid crazy. I would look at other cruise lines prices. I love Disney NYE cruise but have also done Carnival and had a blast and prices aren't overpriced. I would not pay those prices. Just go another time for sure.

Hey girl!!! We had the best weather!!! Pool temps are heated, weather was T-shirt & shorts the entire time for us!! Actually it was really hot to us in San Juan! CC water was cold at first but great after it warmed up a bit. Lots of wildlife at serenity bay!! Shark, rays, sand dollars (size of melons!) a staff member told us we have the best weather the fantasy has seen on CC in 2 months!! It was perfect! And we have a great meet from dis too!! This one will be hard to top!

It was a wonderful cruise. I am exhausted and dreading the Christmas mess at home. Seems long ago that it was Christmas.

Can't wait for this cruise!!! We booked back in May and it was @ $3400 for the pair of us!! It has definitely gone up in price so I'm so glad I booked when I did! Holiday cruises are the most expensive so it's best to book as soon as they are released!

I was on this cruise as well.

The Fantasy is Beautiful. The staff were great. Overall an amazing experience. Weather was 77-81 deg everyday. Had about 1.5 days of clouds, but still compared to 30-40 deg in NY, really can't complain.

Port days we hit over 80 deg....CC day was incredible...the cherry on top. Clear skies, hot weather, cool water.

Looked into next years prices on board and they were offering a discount, but still way overpriced. We did this trip on DVC points, and we are considering an add-on to book next years cruise with.

What was special or unique about this cruise? As opposed to an Eastern any other week of the year.

I suppose it is the exact same cruise everyone else has taken on the Eastern Caribean this past year....But being on the "new" ship, on New Years Eve...The atmosphere on the ship, the excitment of the crew....I can't say everything was perfect, but it certaintly was close.

Wouldn't there still be holiday decorations, gingerbread house making, etc? Seems like there'd be a NYE celebration too, right?

I just got off this cruise as well - all the decorations were still up, including the gingerbread house and even though Christmas seems long ago, it was really nice to see all the stuff still up. Made the whole ship and CC so much more festive. And I noticed the smell of gingerbread as soon as we set foot in the atrium!

I agree. Same ship same ports but the first NYE on the new ship...the energy was electrifying.
