Read 22 out of 80 books so far. Reading the following books:

The 10th Kingdom by Kathryn Wesley. It is the book version of the miniseries of the same name that was on NBC back in 2000. Have read this book before but it was in 2005 so it has been awhile since I have read it.

Dannii Minogue: My Story by Dannii Minogue. She is Kylie Minogue's younger sister. She has been on the UK X Factor. And is also a singer like her sister Kylie. Got this book for my birthday back in January because no local library of mine has her book.

I think I am number 145 on the wait list for Insurgent. Sounds like a great read though.

Book #26 Brides of Prairie Gold by Maggie Osborne

Review: I honestly liked this book. The book was about a group of women who travel through the frontier to Oregon in hopes of being married. These mail-order brides go through difficulties such as disease, death and bandits yet prevail. Of course there are two love stories one involving Cody the wagon master and Perrin, a woman with a past. Another involves Cody's friend Webb and an adventurous Mem Grant. It would suggest it for a quick read.

Finished number 6: Divergent by Veronica Roth.

Love this book, so good. Luckily, I bought it and the sequel so I have no wait in reading the next one, which would have been very frustrating with the end that it gives.

Started number 7: Insurgent by Veronica Roth.

Book 22 of 100 - Endurance by Ann Aguire

This was a different story, and felt rather unfinished to me. It is about two young adults, Thimble and Stone, who live in an Enclave under ground. When there is a rebellion it is the end of the Enclave and they must find a way to escape and survive the Freaks who wander the tunnels.

I never fully got into this book, and then it was over. I go not know if there are more stories that follow, and am not sure I would want to read them if there are. Just seemed an odd story to me.

Just beware that you will feel the same way at the end of Insurgent, and the next one is not out until the fall. I still can't wait to read it, and I read both last Sept/Oct.

Just finished #12 last night:

Rush Home Road by Lori Lansens

What a beautiful, poignant story! This book had been on my "to read" book list for a year. Why the heck did I want so long???

Book has a moving plotline and memorable characters. Five year old Sharla, not wanted by her own mother, gets sent to live with an old neighbor woman, Addie Shadd. The two form a strong bond and impact each other's lives. I've been reading a lot of books lately that switch back & forth from present to past, and this is another one of those. Not really a fan of that format, but it doesn't detract from the storyline at all; in fact, towards the end, it enhances it greatly as that line between the two timelines begins to blur.

Next up: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix! I am determined to finish this series, lol.

This sounded interesting so I went to look it up. Out of print and not on Kindle.

Finished books 11 and 12

# 11- Private Berlin by James Patterson and Mark Sullivan - This is part of the Private series - I really liked this one. You don't have to read the entire series to understand this book.

# 12 - Legend by Marie Lu - This is a YA book that several of my MS students have been reading so I thought I would keep up with what's new! It started off a little slow, but it picked up and was a pretty good book in the end. If you liked Hunger Games...it's in that genre...

Goal = 40

Book #15: Me Before You by JoJo Moyes (http://www.amazon.com/Me-Before-You-...=me+before+you)
Book #16: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (http://www.amazon.com/Fault-Our-Star...+in+our+stars0
Both excellent books, hard for me to put down. I don't want to give away too much of the plot of either book, so I will say that I am in need of a lighter book next!

11/30 - Ghosts of Rosewood Asylum by Stephen Prosapio

From Amazon:
Quote:
Zach Kalusky, host of Sci-D TV's Xavier Paranormal Investigators, is ecstatic when he's given the opportunity to explore the most haunted site in Chicago for a Halloween Special: Rosewood Asylum, a place long made off-limits by the local government, plagued by decades of mysterious fires and unexplained events. It's Zach's dream investigation- but there's a catch: the network forces Xavier Paranormal Investigators to partner with the more dramatic-but less ethical-Demon Hunters. Now, Zach must fight for both his show's integrity and his team's loyalty while trying to protect his own secret: that he, himself, is possessed.
3/5 stars. I thought it was too long and it had some unexpected, controversial subject matter that I didn't enjoy. If you like paranormal stuff, you could give it a try, but I recommend getting it while it's on a free download promo.

Keep forgetting to come in and post the current tally sheet!

Right now I'm waiting on Cloud Atlas from the library along with the movie once the dvd comes out. For now I'm in the middle of book 25 "Thunderball" by Ian Fleming. Its actually a lot of fun so far in spite of only getting into Bond movies via Daniel Craig.
