I know you know, but in case anyone out there doesn't know....they can be activated any time in 2013. Not just ANY time.

Buy until tomorrow. Activate between purchase and 12/31/13.

We bought 3 yesterday to be activated in August. We usually go for 12-13 days at a time so for an extra $25 a ticket over a 10 day pass it was worth the extra flexability.

Just bought 3 to activate in July and use again next June.

Decided to have them send the vouchers to me verses pickup as having something to hold and dream about is certainly worth $5

bought 1, for me. 21 days in January, 4 more in May, I'll get in another trip in December, if I can.

DH on a military pass for the 4 days in May. It wasn't worth it to get one for him, he goes so rarely.

We actually have 10 WP&M visits left on our non-expiring tickets from a few years back. We used all the park days over 3 vacations. Still, it would have cost us more for the next year to buy the tickets that we needed, whether we got 2 - 3 day expiring and 1 - 2 day expiring, or an 8 day non-expiring, each, for the 3 trips we have planned. Since the WP&M options don't expire on our non-expire tickets we can hold on to them till after the PAPs expire and we need new tickets. Even if we renew for a regular AP we can us them with them. Since we didn't have APs, the price of the PAPs was cheaper than the DVC AP price.)

I was planning on buying them...but changed my mind. I would like to "run" the Wine and Dine Half-Marathon next November, but so far, I don't have anyone willing to join me. DH is definitely interested, but he is not sure if he will be able to get the vacation time. I thought about just buying one pass for me in case I could find a friend to come along. If DH was able to get the time off and chose to join me, then I would just get him an AP and pay the extra $25. My decision was easier once they announced that the 20% merchandise discount would be changed to 10%. Silly, I know, but it was really the main reason I considered the PAP. If DH were to go with me next year, it would have been nice to try out a water park or play a round of golf at Oak Trail which we could do since we're leaving the kids with my parents. But, knowing that the trip is still an uncertainty, I couldn't take the gamble of dropping $800 on PAP's and then not being able to activate it. We are planning a family WDW trip in 2014 so that would be our "other" trip on the AP. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens to the prices next year. I think I will need to buy airfare before the prices increase and hopefully, someone will come with me.
