Of course, both of my kids are above average, so I know first-hand how wonderful it will be . Ha! Who am I kidding? My 5yo may be in the 90th percentile in height, but he still pretends like he's a cat. Frequently. So it's probably a wash.

LOL as well...FTR, my DS7 was my very tall AND a late talker. So much so that I honestly believe my DS2 (of average height) is better spoken. DS2 would pass for under 3 for years to come...bless his thin haired (toe headed) self. It is a good thing he is all personality : )

This is very good info as I had the same question, my dd is just a few weeks from 3 and she speaks very clearly when she speaks and is just at the 40 inch mark, so i was worried about the dining. So now i know to let the servers know she is only 2. Thanks this is why i love the boards.

At our register of deeds office they gave me a copy this size- that was an actual certificate, with seal and all. Not that you would need it, but we do carry it with us for other reasons, emergencys, accidents, etc.

We never have had any problems with my now 10 yr old son and he has always looked much bigger than his age!

As long as he talked in his normal way, there were no problems getting into a Disney park when he was 2. Except for when he would say he was 5. Thankfully he never did that at Disneyland.

I would just bring the birth certificate. How hard is it to make a copy, fold it, put it in a gallon ziplock, and just keep that in the diaper bag?
I don't ever travel without a copy of my daughter's birth certificate and a copy of my marriage license (because the state of FL puts the mother's birth name, not married name, on the birth certificate). We took DD to Disney for one day on the day before her third birthday. Obviously she looked three since she turned three the next day, but no one questioned us. |

I've had the opposite experience. My oldest is 95% for both height and weight and when she was 3 and 4 years old, CM's would open the gate and expect us to walk right through. I had to basically force them to take the ticket and put it through. My other ones are small for age, but I've never been asked about any of them.
