Tell me about Atlantis

So if we do the cruise to the Bahamas, I know my kids would love to spend a day at Atlantis. From what I see on the DCL website, the Atlantis Aquaventure is $169 each ($115 for my youngest). I have heard you can get a day pass and do it on your own. I just can't seem to find the day pass info for the water parks on their website, just all the other water activities.
Anybody have any idea how much this would cost if I were to do it without DCL? Are taxis pretty easy to come by? If so, about how much does a taxi run to Atlantis? I did find one page that said $110 for adults $80 for children, but I have no idea how current that info is.

Have you seen this link, with booking the hotel outside Atlantis at a discount potentially, and enjoying all the benifits for half the price?

Not sure if that is the info requested, but ....

Search "Atlantis" on this board for may threads.

IMHO Atlantis is not worth that kind of money.
We spent 4 days there and although it is a nice property, for a day trip it's basically just a water park.
If you can get it for $50 Pp then I would say its worth it, but $169 is crazy.

We were there last year for our whole vacation and I agree! Just a waterpark, not worth the arm and the leg that they charge. I think what many people do is book a room at the Comfort Suites next door which provides a day pass. Taxi to and from is around $20 from the port.
