Last time we had a veranda, we quit going out there because it seemed every time we did, someone was leaning over and shouting Hi! from another one somewhere.

Yikes! That would be enough for me to put the kibosh on, um... Anything risqué on the veranda!

Well it may be some people's Fantasy to make some Magic on the Veranda but if it's going to make your neighbors Wonder what's going on I guess it will just remain a Dream

Some have posted complaints about being able to hear what was going on in the cabin next door.....I suspect the verandah would be a little less private.

Have you thought about sneaking into Palo after hours?

ummm.. so how is the sound transfer between cabins? I'm not too keen on listening to others screaming children. is sound transfer more prevalent between walls or floors?

If the wife and I do want to make some magic on the dream, is this going to be an issue? I certainly do not want to be inappropriate. (not on the verandah of course). Any advise from experienced dissers?

I have never heard any "magic"-making from next door, even with a connecting door. I have occasionally heard kids through the walls but it has never been disruptive. What's worse is the kids (and adults!) out in the hallway slamming doors and talking loudly after 12am (the time we were right next to the kids' club). Bring earplugs if you think it might bother you. I'm strongly considering it if I'm ever in a high-traffic area again

We had issues with kids screaming in the hall, wish it had been at 12 am, since we were usually up until 1 or 2 am. It was always at 5:45 am, and always on a sea day.

We never heard anything through the walls, well, you COULD hear the toilet flust in the cabin next door, but the toilets are pretty loud.

Yeah, you're right. The morning noise was worse. I like to sleep in on vacation! Why are all those kids up so early? Their poor parents!!!!! Now that you remind me, I'm definitely packing earplugs. Most of my problem with the midnight noise was that it was adults! Shouldn't they know better?

Based upon my experience in the security industry, not for everyone. And to the other poster, yep, always worth a good laugh.

There are good sea story or stories about the old liners, where passingers were allowed to go on the fordeck at night. They were engaged in ....ahhh........activites, thinking no one could see them in the dark and they were hidden from the other passingers who were aft.

What they forgot was to look up. The bridge and the darkened wheelhouse. Many a night watch was hmmm..........ahhh..........entertained. Those binoculars are really good.

DW was laying out on our verandah (dead center aft) and our neighbors decided to make some magic out on the verandah. DW tries making some noise to let them know she was out there - but they didn't care. It was only a few minutes of uncomfortableness - just a quickie.

I have to confess though - DW and I made some magic on our verandah during the fireworks on pirate night. At least it as dark, most people were partying on deck, and we were quiet.
