Help me choose a camera!
I have had several digital cameras, and it's time for a new one. I recently bought an Olympus from QVC -- I can return it still for a couple of weeks -- 24x optical zoom, lots of fun stuff, but the microphone is terrible. I have kids in the arts, and would like to be able to take video with decent sound as well as still photos. I don't want to spend more than about $150, and it needs to take SD cards. I'd also like to be able to upload videos to Facebook through whatever format the videos come in -- for some reason this has been a near impossibility. Any suggestions?

For under $150 you're pretty limited. Maybe check out the Fuji Finepix S4250? It's a solid camera and does video, though honestly the microphone probably isn't going to be any better than others in that price range.. they all pretty much have cheap mono microphones. You might consider going with a video only camera if it's really important.
As far as uploading directly to Facebook... here's a link to a list of the formats that facebook supports... https://www.facebook.com/help/218673814818907/
