Disney Dream Cabin 7504
Hi.
We are booked on the Dream next year in cabin 7504. There will be 4 of us and my DH is 6'1". I was looking at pics of this cabin and it seems there is a queen bed and a pull out and the sloped walls. Frankly, I am concerned about the pull down berth (if there is one) knowing neither of my kids will sleep on it and I'm worried that the sloped walls will have my DH ducking to utilize some of the space. If you have stayed in this cabin, what were the pros/cons? I have already asked my agent at DU to see about switching us, but I know it will cost $$$ because all that's left on Disney's site in deluxe ocean view with verandah. What would you do? Thanks so much. BTW, this is our very first Disney cruise. Thanks again!

The porthole is smaller and at an angle but the extra space was so much better for us. We have also stayed in 8006 which is the same cabin layout on the other side of the ship. I actually request these cabin because I love all the space. In 8504 there was a pull down berth and the sofa bed flipped into a twin bed plus the king bed. There is no privacy curtain in this cabin. With four people, my personal opinion is that the extra space in this cabin is well worth the slanted wall. In a regular cabin you will have much less space. MJ

If neither of your children will sleep in the pull down bed, it will remain hidden in the ceiling and no one will be aware that it is there. It is actually locked, and only your cabin attendant can unlock it, so if you tell him/her that you don't want it, it will never come down. I do not believe that your room has a murphy bed (that is only in the deluxe family OVs), so only the sofa bed will be used. Where will you put your other child, though? A pack n play? The sofa bed is only designed to sleep one.
