Lapu Lapu Question!!
We are going to be going to 'Ohana for the first time on our upcoming trip
 I really want one of these fun drinks however I can not drink Rum. It just doesn't agree with me, even in small quantities.... So my question is, will they serve other drinks in the fun pineapple cup, or do they make a version with another "spike"? Thanks a bunch! |

I've been to Ohana over a half of dozen times and never tried that drink! But I always think about trying it. I believe its not pre-mixed so they would probably allow you to try something else instead of rum. I would ask.

They'd probably do it if you are willing to pay the price of the Lapu Lapu. I think it's about $12. You do know that the "pineapple cup" is just a hollowed-out pineapple? It's not a souvenir you could take home.

Does anyone know if its possible to ask them to switch up the ingredients a little? Such as, could you switch out the dark rum for coconut rum? Also, will they give you a little fork or anything to eat the inside of the pineapple with. Another thread mentioned taking a spork but if they serve appetizers at the bar, surely they could give you a fork, right?

If you were to get a nonalcoholic version, would they allow you to leave the restaurant with it since it comes in a (disposable) pineapple? I figure alcoholic drinks must be consumed in the restaurant. But I can easily see myself lounging on the Poly beach before Wishes while enjoying a treat

My kids had the "virgin" Lapu Lapu a couple of years ago when we went. It was pretty much just pineapple juice.
