MK Counter Service Restaurant Recommendation

Hi everyone,

We will be spending one day at the Magic Kingdom as part of a Disney Cruise. I am working on a tour plan since it looks like we will be there on a busier day. Does anyone have a suggestion for a counter service restaurant in the MK?

Thanks in advance!

Columbia Harbor House is very good, and has been my favorite CS MK restaurant.

Be Our Guest is getting some very good reviews, and the lunch is CS. It is, by all reports, very crowded, so getting in on a crowded MK day may be a challenge if you don't want to lose too much time.

The Waffle Sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow are not full meals, but they are pretty good.

For us, the following are our favs:
1. Columbia Harbour House (love the tuna sandwich!)
2. Cosmic Ray's (lots of choices besides burgers)
3. Pecos Bill's (taco salad)

Our favorite quick service in Magic Kingdom is Pinocchio Village Haus, it is really good food with a great view of the ride Its a Small World. Also, it is centrally located.

We love the meatball sub and chicken parmigan.

I agree with these. In this order, but we go to whichever one we are close to when we're ready to eat.

If you're near....

Frontierland -- Pecos Bill's. It's a good burger (and more) joint with a topping bar. It's also by the border to Adventureland hence no recommendation for that area.

Fantasyland -- Pinocchio's Village Haus. There was slightly different choices last time we were there but I've heard the food is still good and it's right by FLE, plus we loved snagging seats to wave to the It's a Small World crowd.

Tomorrowland -- Cosmic Ray's, which would also be my top recommendation. The atmosphere's not much to write home about but there's plenty of choices so everyone should be able to find something easily.

Our 2 favorites are Columbia Harbor House (love the Shrimp basket) and Pecos Bills (love the Taco Salad, while DH likes the pulled pork sandwich). Haven't tried BOG yet, but that may very well be in the mix once we do .

In my opinion, if you are going to Magic Kingdom for one day, and you do not have lunch at Be Our Guest, you are doing yourself a disfavor. It is a fantastic experience, even for lunch. We had a special event there last month and got to sample all the dishes and desserts. The croque monsieur sandwich was fantastic as well as the braised pork. On top of the great food, it is, obviously, a beautiful space to dine in. Completely worth the wait you may encounter.

Caseys has YUMMY corn dog nuggets and FF, with a complimentary self serve topping area that has warm cheese sauce for dipping, so good!!
The plazza serves a very nice sit down lunch for not much more than a CS meal would cost. Great turkey clubs, cheesesteaks and sundaes..
Otherwise our favorite is Columbia Harbor House, for shrimp baskets, deeelicious tuna sandwiches and apple crisps.
Pecos Bills is pretty good too, for a rather average burger that is made extra tasty by the choices available at the BEST "fixins bar" in all of WDW! (IMO) Fried onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, pickles, warm cheese sauce, etc..

We just got back and have 2 wonderful lunches at Columbia Harbor House and Be Our Guest. We also had dinner at BOG and we enjoyed the lunch over the dinner!
