Magic Sauna
Contemplating on buying the rain-forest pass for my upcoming cruise on the Magic. I loved the hot tub on the Dream in their Spa. However, I never been on the Magic.... I don't know if they have a hot tub in their spa. Also, does the magic have a hot and mild Sauna?

Rainforest spa on Magic?
They don't have a hot tub. They have 2 very different saunas- one very hot and the other very mild.
A steam room and then 4 of the heated loungers. and then the special showers. I didn't feel I could stay long on the loungers, with only 4 onboard. ..or i would have brought my book and parked there!... The showers -- rainforest, different heads and sprays and temps.. okay. If you love to steam or sauna might be worth it. I used the dressing room showers - they were fine. I think they dont' try to make it special, as they must not make very much money on the rainforest pass, and want the loungers available for clients buying more $$ pkgs. they were not interested in explaining what the showers do or how you might enjoy a certain routine.. I was disappointed with the rainforest. my 2cents

I was last on the Magic in September and felt the Rainforest Room needed a big update. Many things were not working and I was sorry I bought the pass. Hardly spent any time there on that cruise. Always enjoyed it in the past.

OMG....yes it is worth it!!! The view alone is worth it. Hubby and I were sad we waited until the last day to use it. Otherwise, we would have bought a longer pass. The locker room was beautiful and we were able to take our robe and slippers back to our room. One sauna was so hot that we couldn't stay but 2 minutes. The only negative was the heated loungers....they weren't too warm....barely felt heat. However, I would do it again in a heartbeat(on the Dream/Fantasy).

There is a dry sauna in the women's locker room on the Magic--no charge to use anything in the locker room. There are 3 levels of steam rooms in the Rainforest (paid pass), as well as the lounge chairs and the showers (which don't work). There are hot tubs free in the pool area on deck 9, but none in the rainforest area. My opinion--there is a lot more in the rainforest on the Fantasy. It makes no sense that the cost of the room on the Fantasy is the same as on the classic ships. |

So wait...if you buy a massage or treatment, you don't have to pay for the rain forest pass too? I just assumed you had to buy both. I'm going on the Magic after dry dock so I am hoping they updte it.

Unless your spa experience specifically states "30 minutes in Rainforest," you have to buy a separate rainforest pass. It is not generally included with spa services.
