We use Budget car rental, good prices and one way rental with no drop off charges!

Us, too! There's only two of us going, though, so private transfers are just as expensive. Like the ease of DCL transfers...

Definitely Budget. Pick up at MCO, drop off at the Port Canaveral location w/no surcharge. Free shuttle or quick cheap taxi ride to the port. Do the same thing going back. We were 3 people, and out budget rental and taxi were under $100. DCL r/t transfers would have been $210.

We did DCL transportation. Allowed us to experience Disney "magic" the entire trip. It was no hassle, got off the ship and walked right onto a Disney bus and were at the world in about an hour!

We used DCL transport from port to WDW. More expensive than a car rental but definitely easy and stress-free! Enjoy your cruise! |

Another vote for the rental car. We did that last cruise and will do it again for this cruise.
Search for best rates using Kayak or Expedia (or similar) and then get a coupon code from a variety of possible sources (frequent flyer, mousesavers, AAA, etc...). No taxi needed with Avis - they have a shuttle in Port Canaveral. For our upcoming cruise, out estimate total costs for the two one-way rentals is $85. Will will obviously have a small charge for refilling the tank, but all-in we should be under $100 for a family of four. |

We used FL Tours and had no problems. Was much cheaper for 6 of us than DCL by half. The van itself was not new, and not luxury, but it was a pretty short trip. The driver was very nice on one leg, and the other driver was quiet but courteous. I liked being able to name what time we wanted to be picked up, and only waited about 15 minutes to be picked up when we got off the cruise. My only suggestion to them would be nicer vehicles. It was a very utilitarian multi-passenger van that was older and a bit grubby from being in service for a long time. Not gross-dirty, just worn-grubby.

Tiffany Towncars
I was up in the air on this one too, but finally checked out some towncar limo services and ended up selecting Tiffany Towncars. We won't physically use them until Jan. 2nd (WDW to port) and the 6th (port to airport), but the entire reservation process was a snap. I will be glad to post a report after we use them.

We are using Noble Transportation to get to the port and we are renting cars to get back to WDW- but it is more expensive than I imagined
![]() I think the cheapest we can find is about $165 for a full size and we only need it for 36 hours- I wish there were an easier/cheaper way.

Lots of variables--when are you flying in? Do you prefer to overnight near MCO or near the port if coming in a day ahead? If you aren't coming in a day ahead, you should be.
Budget rental--check out discounts thru rentalcodes.com and mousesavers.com. We typically can get a one way car rental for $35 to $50 including all taxes and fees. There are lots of good shuttle/towncar companies--some named above. Also, Cocoa Beach Shuttle, RJ's, etc. If coming in the night before and staying in the MCO area, the Hyatt Place NW has a stay/breakfast/round trip cruise transportation package. We paid $121 for 2; recently they are showing different rates for "up to 2" and "up to 4." I priced a couple of nights at $159 and $189 for 4 people. They have a shuttle to/from MCO 24/7. NOTE this is not the Hyatt MCO. They Wyngate has a similar package but it costs more and is less reliable. |
