Kids wearing costumes?
We sail on Jan 6 on the dream!! My dd will be 7 in January. Do many of the kids (girls) dress up as princesses on the cruises, like for dinner, etc? She will need a new costume if she's going to, I don't want to rush and order them and no other kids dress up, but I also don't want her to wish she had one and have to buy it ion the ship. We have a pirate costume.

Many of the young girls do wear a princess costume to dinner, 1 or more nights. But it also is in now way all young girls. If you take a costume, she will not be the only one, but if you don't want to buy or pack a costume, she certainly won't feel left out either.
Enjoy your cruise! |

The little girls at one table beside us wore a princess dress every night. The little girls on the other side of us never did. So, as PP said, they will fit in which ever way you go.

Last month my niece dressed like Snow White one night and Tinkerbell another. My son dressed as Prince Charming and Peter Pan to complement her! Have fun! It's Disney!

She won't be out of place either way. Many kids dress up, others do not.

We packed 4 of her princess dresses and she wore 2 of them twice. A girl at our table wore a few different ones. Some dress up every night and some never do. They also have ones in the kids club they can "borrow" while they are playing in there.

It's not just for dinner either.... don't forget the innumerable photo ops. There were little boys dressed up in costume also, like Jake from the Neverland Pirates, and Peter Pan. The CM's loved making the kids feel special, when they arrived at the "Meets" all decked out!

Golden Mickeys
Also, the Golden Mickeys is a fun place to debut a costume. My daughter and niece dressed as Cinderella's evil stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella for the Golden Mickey's and dinner. They were pulled out of the crowd to be "interviewed" at the Golden Mickeys. That was definitely a highlight for them!
