There are hotels that offer parking and shuttle service to the port area, free with a hotel stay or paid. There are also off site parking lots with shuttle service (like Park and Cruise). The lots have varying levels of security--fencing, lights, etc.

Hotels near the port include the Residence Inn, COuntry Inn and Suites, and Radisson, but there are many other hotels in Cocoa Beach and none are very far from the port. To save money on paid shuttles, you can drive the family over to the port and drop off passengers and luggage, then have the driver return and shuttle. Alternatively, you can take a cab for about $10. As to luggage, whatever transportation you use, you'll arrive in the drop off area where the porters will verify your luggage tags and take your checked bags. You'll keep your carry on stuff. A tip is appropriate.

There is also at least one hotel in the MCO area that offers a stay, park, round trip transportation to/from the cruise terminal, and breakfast for up to 4. This is the Hyatt Place NW (different from Hyatt MCO). Nice hotel--we didn't have a car to leave, but that is part of the package if desired. We paid $121 which was the rate for up to 4, but recently they have split the package with a different price for transportation for 2 and 4 at different prices. I recently priced the deal for 4 at $189 and $159 depending on the night involved.

Country Inn Suites has a free park and ride according to the website. Weve stayed there a few times. Basically you leave tour vehicle in the dedicated lot. Then you meet the bus at the designated location in the hotel with your luggage.( this part is the same for all of the PC hotels. Each hotel has a different parking area for cars staying while you're on a cruise. CIS I know is in front of the hotel.) the bus pulls in and you go to the bus with your luggage. Depending on the bus you will usually put your luggage at the trailer and then find a seat. When the bus pulls up at the terminal you will be dropped off with the rest of the guests at the curb. You collect your luggage for the porters who take it from the curb. Most of the time its you just point out your bags. Then you go to the gate for verification then go check in.

We drove to pc and stayed at country inn and suites..loved it! A little more than I wanted to pay for a room for the night, although there are 5 of us. We parked over at the port at something like $20 a day. Country inn and suites does have free shuttle service but there is not a secured lot, your just leaving it in a certain place in the parking lot. Hth!

Stayed at CI&S in March for the Fantasy MV. Fine room. Great location.
Drove up from Key West day before. Ate lunch at Zacharys and dinner at Fishlips while watching the Magic leave.didn't use the pool, but it looked clean & nice & was well used by others. Our car was safe in their lot for the week. The only thing I don't like about CI & S is that they don't let you sign up for their van until you physically check in. So there's some stress involved in your hotel arrival time if you have an early cruise checkin time & you want to get on the van list asap.Otherwise,it's a fine place to stay.

We stayed at Country Inns & Suites last May with their Cruise/Park option. It was very convenient. The shuttle drivers (a husband and wife team) are great. Plan on about $1 per person tip for the driver. We're planning to return there for the night before our cruise this spring.

We stayed at Country Inn & Suites in December. We didn't do the park&cruise shuttle but drove to the port. The port parking was more expensive but you couldn't beat walking out of Customs and being on the road in 5 minutes.

Days inn and la Quinta were giving out a coupon for 40% off to park at the port. The rates on these were pretty good and comparable to an i95 hotel.

No hassles with shuttles.
