Yup. We were at Epcot today too. We traipsed in about 30 minutes after rope drop and were able to do Soarin' with a 10 minute wait then over to Test Track for a walk on in the Single Rider line. The longest line was at Spaceship Earth and that was about 20 minutes. We even avoided the worst of the rain.

Wink

Don't worry they will be back next week. I always tell people on those days stick to your resort if you don't like crowds.

It's not just the locals. The idea that the park is gonna be practically empty and they should just be able to walk on everything on those holidays is still out there.

When people ask me I tell them that it is the most crowded time to go, you need plans and reservations, patience, trust and whole lot of pixie dust.

It's also people in the most Christmas spirit (NOT)

This looks like it did in Disneyland this year for our entire week and that was a random week in OCTOBER! The interesting thing was that the first picture posted at 7 in no way looks like DL at 7am. It is much more crowded as getting there early does not seem to really be a secret like it is at DW. Just interesting I thought, as like most of you I used to find these pictures surprising. After visiting DL for the first time, not so much!

Currently, MK (the only park dealing with capacity closures to my knowledge) has been upgraded to a phase three from a phase two. For more info, see this link:

I like the idea of being close to the action
I had to buy another piece of luggage today and shoes and a floppy hat
The camping trip got a little hairy

This is exactly what we do. AM EMH, FastPass, and a little planning. There were only a few times this week that I felt intimidated by the crowds. There were times where the parks seemed pretty quiet too.

For the record...we usually go during the summer so we are used to crowds. I feel bad for those who are scared off by crowd reports and miss out on this magical time. Like I said before there were only a handful of times where the crowds (for us) were near that "capacity" crowd feel.

We went to Epcot late on the 25th because we had dinner reservations and we just walked around the park.

I saw when we are on the monorail on the 26th that the crowds looked very light, Spaceship Earth looked like it had a little line, TT was closed at the time we passed by, but I didn't see anything else.

Well we are shooting for non Christmas time next time we visit, since the last couple of been around that time. Want to experience some less crowds. Although this trip has been great. I guess us Disney Crazies know how the crowds work.

you are too funny.

My parents have friends who are there now (took the whole family to Disney as a Christmas gift) and unfortunately they had no idea what they were getting into. My mom tried to warn them that it is the busiest time for Disney and expect very high crowds, they just wanted to see the Christmas lights. This family is so used to going to Disney in September when the crowds are low, I just hope they are having a decent time. I kind of wished they had talked to me when they were planning this trip out, I would of told them alternate weeks to go and still be able to see Christmas in WDW.

Hi there! i think we're going to setup our 2013-2014 trip coming in on the 28th or 29th and staying until after New Years, as everything calms down right after New Years. Given the crowd stuff we're seeing this year, I think we're happy we went 12/14-12/18 this year. Was very nice, not too busy at all.

MK shut down again today. We left the park about 1PM and noticed the signs as we drove home.
