They can't do it. They would have to leave out of vancouver.

Well it is a dream cruise.

How about they throw in a stop in Ensenada?

I've long said that they can take it out and cruise around in circles for all I care.....but stops at CC would be OK too.

My dream cruise would NOT include Ensenada!

(A one-way cruise from one U.S. port to another would have to include a distant foreign port, and Ensenada isn't foreign enough to qualify. Which is why you'd need to leave from Vancouver.)

Take one over to Australia and do Tazzie, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Barrier Reef, and maybe a jaunt out to NZ! Also hits a large market without easy access to a Disney park.

It would have to actually *start* in Ensenada. (If it starts in LA and goes to Oahu, that's a cruise between two different US ports, and needs a *distant* foreign port. Canada and Mexico do not count as distant foreign ports.) I've seen folks discuss people getting bussed from LA to Ensenada and actually *boarding* the cruise in Ensenada. I assume that would work.

While we're all dreaming, I'd like a cruise around Ireland & Scotland. We went to Ireland for our honeymoon & would love to show our kids, without having to deal with the kids not liking any of the food.

It counted for our Alaskan cruise last summer from Seattle. We stopped at Victoria, BC for around 4 hrs. The rest were all American ports.

Ah, but that was a "closed loop" cruise that started and ended in the *same* US Port (Seattle). In the case of a closed loop cruise, a Near Foreign Port will do. And Victoria, BC is a *Near* Foreign Port.

It's only if the cruise starts in one US Port (like Los Angeles) and ends in a *different* US Port (like Oahu) that you need to worry about the Distant Foreign Port. So Seattle-Alaska-Victoria-Seattle works (closed loop). Seattle-Vancouver-Anchorage would not. San Diego-Ensenada-Hawaii-San Diego works.
