My 23 year old son rented one in March when we were at CC. He was told by people we ate dinner with it was going to be a slow, controlled jet ski trip. He decided to do it anyway and said it was the most fun he has ever had. He owns his own jet ski and experienced at riding. The guide let those who knew what they were doing go faster and ski around while they were out in the ocean. He also learned a lot about the islands and found it to be really interesting. Someday when we go back to CC I know this is one excursion he will do again.

DH and DS(10) did this last year. It was an hour but you have safety instructions first for about 15 minutes. They had 2 tour guides. There was a couple in their group and actually flipped off their jet ski. They couldn't get back on. My father said People should know their limits, they did not. One of the guides was trying to pull her up the other push her from in the water. They had to actually tow her in, with the lifeguard float. DH said they would have had a great time If they could have left them behind. But they try to keep the group somewhat together.

But other then that they would have had a great time and you get to see parts of the island you wouldn't normally be able to see.

Total is 1 hour.

15' safety instruction
15' travel to other side of island
15' on island
15' travel back

You pretty much follow the guide in tandem. There will be those that will get delayed and then you can do some circles.

You do go out in the open ocean and can get choppy.
