Here is a picture from our cruise. We had the family room, so you can see the murphy bed in the back as well.

Here is a photo of my DD (8 at the time) in the sofa bed. This is a 4E room on the Dream -- one of the rooms on deck 5 that has the same interior space as a category 5 and an extended verandah. As you can see, it does not block access to the verandah at all. My DD found it very comfortable!

No, not like that picture at all.

The sofa bed is opened in the exact footprint of the sofa.
