Boardwalk Inn was supposed to be the first resort and start in February. We're far less than 60 days from that point.

Think of it this way.. There will be a transition period, yes, but you never have to opt into the system.. and the transition period will be so short that the vast majority of people posting that they'd change to an offsite hotel wont have it overlap their vacation. We're talking days, maybe a few weeks - not months.

That much I've got. But I figured they would phase in by resort. And that offsite would be last to be required to opt in.

I think I'm more confused than ever.

I think I heard once you opt in, you can't opt out.

What is your best guess for when traditional FP will be completely gone?

And just to get back on topic here........ is there any word on the original rumor that APs would only get 20 per quarter?

I agree that eventually "options" will be limited.

But AP holders usually have room only -- not package. Not saying that won't change -- but my tickets are separate from my room reservation.

Maybe this will help...

"The one with the power to vanquish the FASTPASS approaches ... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the second month dies ... and the FASTPASS will mark it as its equal, but it will have power the FASTPASS knows not ... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives."

Do you honestly have no idea how rude and condescending your posts come across?

MyMagic+ doesn't care. You have a ticket and a resort reservation.

People need to stop thinking of tickets as being these separate entities with different rules.. they're pretty much all APs now - assigned to a person, like they've always been actually but now you can really see the assignment - and APs are really just 365 day tickets.

I'd rather people have correct information. I'm sorry that offends you, you must want people to have misinformation. Why? I'm not sure, but your intentions come across as very self serving.

Well it's been stated time and time again on this thread, and even the T&C don't make any distinction between on-site and off-site guest. Yet, people continue to talk as though they will be treated differently. If nothing else about FP+ is clear, I think the fact that on-site and off-site will be treated exactly the same is clear.

It isn't the information it is the way you say it.... just so nasty.

I'm not giving people misinformation... I'm not give out any information on something I have no knowledge on. Concrete or otherwise.

Just that certain data points collected by the social media team "recently" has them rethinking how to integrate APs into the program.

Or when people are booking their vaction and find out that there aren't any more advanced FP selections for the attractions they want, and decide to postpose their vacation all together not knowing (or not willing to take the chance) that they might be able to get those FPs once they get to the parks.
You keep saying that your position is based on the math, but the FP math doesn't really change regardless of whether all FPs are same-day, all are advance FP, or there will be a mix of the two.

From this post, it appears that your position is actually not based on the math, but based on your perception of what their message will be if advance FP+s are not available. I suspect the message will be something like 'None are currently available for pre-assignment.' A simple statement of fact that doesn't preclude a FP+ coming available if someone changes their plans either before arriving or once they are in the park. Nor does it restrict Disney in any way from holding back FPs until 'same day'.

The VP of the project stating as much to the local news does help prove that point..

Would that team be looking at threads like this one?
