If you book a Disney Resort it'll be hard to ignore it. All the demographic info goes in at the time of the reservation online. Then you opt into reminders at which point it's like "at XX days you can book your FP+".

Demographics include everyone in the party's name, age, b-day, thrill preferences, fave character, choice of band color, etc.. where is also explains all the stuff the bands will do.
Now the biggest problem in my family will be fighting over colors of the bands,

Especially when it will probably say something like "skip the lines".

I don't know, in the past plenty of them ignored park maps and Stacy telling them every 11 minutes that FastPass is included in their park admission.

Dining is mentioned in the booking process.. and that's when all the availability went to minimum levels. FP+ availability will go the same way.

This article was in Touringplans.com - explaining MyMagic+ - hope it shows up for you w/o a subscription. It looks like the big hook will be the BRACELET with collectibles - maybe even CHARMS that everyone will want so much that they will be happy to only go on one or two headliners per day (assuming the list choices remain as earlier posted here.) Only 3 FP+ per day stinks!

Good lord, there goes the idea that people will not book their Advanced Ride Reservations in advance.

We had an argument in the car tonight about how to keep track of the bands who gets what color. Seriously!

How do you keep it on a three year old and how do they make them small enough? If a 2 year old doesn't pay, can you still get a FP+ for Dumbo for them?

FPs have never been required for the under-3 set. I expect this at least to remain unchanged.

Yes, I do think a good portion will. These types of things that pop up are frequently ignored if people don't understand them or think they need that sort of thing. Also, how much time does the average guest spend looking at their info online? Most of the people I know would not invest the time learning about it. I would, of course, but I love to plan our vacations.

i see colors......

well then, color my "wdw~world" with hopes....of making it
something easy & simple.

i just can't help wondering if those personalized guides maps
they made a few years back had another purpose, by
gathering data to determine "where" the most number of
guests were spending (time/money) & their ways of doing the
parks---to set this up?

we're dvc members....& we are concerns about the resales
group...just reading how much they are different to direct
owners. would not surprise @ all to see this factor figuring
in different options for both groups.

i am also curious, about this m.~merf. impressive insights
and even when there were so many doubters.
what i am most curious about....is it professional or social
presentation?

when we "do" disney...it has never been about a certain ride
or show....instead any little/big thing that made our children happy.
we have had some really good fun meeting others & sharing
family values. i think if all you do is based on a time schedule, so
much you missed. i "got" that idea from doing a country paper
route, where many of my customers liked sharing their insights
for a little "company".

growing up in a large-extended family, when watching the mouse
club, & the wonderful world were part of our all family's get~together-
every sunday,
"is" what i think of whenever we are in the magic kingdom. every
thing else is icing on the cake.

some things can't be place on a fast pass. in 2004 was our first
halloween party--& i try to get my family placed across the
bridge & "back" to my position. it filled up so fast, i got bump
behind the crowd. however, there were 2 cm on their
honeymoon. they saw what i had been doing, and invited me
back up. all i know, i still remember their act of kindness but
can't tell anyone how many rides we did.

yes, i think because these are so many message boards, &
so many going against the "flow"...no matter what, "changes"
are needed. but goodness sakes...since our total visits are
around a single dozen.

What about those of us that have annual passes and are staying off site? I seldom ever look at the WDW site.

.
I generally have a difficult time understanding the points you are trying to make, but what do resale DVC contracts have to do with the new FP+ system?
