This was my first Disney cruise. I have used celebrity , carnival, and mostly royal carribean up until now. I def think Disney has the most going on and is the cleanest and best service but we loved our royal carribean cruises as well.

Hello. Can you tell me if there was a live band in the evenings in the adult bars? Really hoping the Fantasy will have a live band. Thank you.

There was a variety of music in the adult bars. Some nights were live music some were comedians and game shows. I'm pretty sure that first area you walk through to get into ooh la la and the tube and o'gills almost always had a singer there at night. It was a Beatles cover band one night and a girl singer a few nights. We had the late dinner so we didnt really spend too much time down there since wed finish dinner around 10 and then pickup out daughter from the kids club around 11-11:30

How is water temp at Castaway Cay? Heard that water gets cool in Bahamas area and we were wondering if it is swimmable and we could go snorkeling for extended time without freezing.....

Thanks for the info...

Where are u from? As a Floridian, COLD. I put in a toe and said NO WAY!!! DD went in a little with her wetsuit & to splash, not swim or snorkel because its cold. Have been to CC in Dec & Jan and there are people swimming/snorkeling but not many. We joke that the people in the water are Canadian LOL

We had no trouble swimming at Castaway Cay in January. But yeah, we are in fact from Canada lol - I've swam in lakes up north that are colder than that in the middle of summer.

I remember thinking Lake Erie at 72 degrees in July was like bath water. Then I moved to Florida...

If we want to snorkle should we bring those shirts that the surfer/baywatch types wear? We actually have wetsuits but it seems like it would be overkill. Do people swim in wetsuits?

I saw in a sea temp forecast that it was 77 degrees which doesn't seem so bad - we are from Minnesota but we are also wimps when it comes to cold (keep our thermostats cranked up....)

DD & I wear those tops (called rash guards) all summer for UV protection here in FL - they don't keep you warm. They aren't meant to. My mother in law in Ohio does feel like they help to keep her a little warmer in the fall season.

I did not see adults in wetsuits on our cruise last week or last January. DD is 5 1/2 and had on a short sleeved/shorts length wetsuit and was thrilled not to be freezing. She didn't look look like an odd kid out

Remember, air temp plays a huge role. This visit to CC was nice, sunny, slight wind. If its windy & overcast, forget it! On our Jan double dip, one of the days was gloomy & windy and we didn't even wear bathing suits - just biked around & played in the sand.

AERAEER

We hate late seating. We skipped the first night of royal table to have an earlier quicker dinner at cabanas. Not good. I wouldn't do that again.
