XXL Merchandise at Parks? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hello,

My family will be at WDW the first week of January. Does Disney sell XXL t-shirts at its gift shops? I don't recall seeing any larger merchandise when we were at WDW last Christmas.

Hey Plymouth - I am from Canton - we are driving down on the 28th.

Some of the shops do sell the larger sizes. The Mercantile on Main Street in MK, The Gear store in Epcot and the Main store down in DTD (sorry don't remember correct names). We also got lucky in May and found some larger sizes at a store along the New York Avenue in HS.

Some. If you're looking for women it's a hodge podge. I've found same sized shirts and depending on the actual shirt one ran small and one ran large. In mens some of them actually fit better than the womens, because of the trend to have women's shirts cut in at the torso. So basically everything has to be tried on. I found some nice stuff at World of Disney in DTD. And if you have a car I actually have found plus sized stuff at Walmart in thier Disney sections.

Last year, my DS bought an XL t-shirt at AK and after a couple washings it just didn't fit very well anymore. I'd like to avoid that this year since the shirts are rather expensive!

I've seen XXL and XXXL shirts at most stores in WDW (not just the main store in each park, but in most of the smaller ones that sold clothes as well), but this is primarily with regards to unisex t-shirts (I didn't look at the women's shirts as closely). I often get the larger size for a nightshirt. If you see a shirt you like and it doesn't come in the size you want, ask the CM if there any more in the back.

Just wanted to echo the sentiment of trying everything on. My mom, who is Pooh sized, just went with a mens/unisex style T shirt as everything else was frustrating her.

I am just above average size, and normally wear a Medium in womens shirts, but came home from the World with one T in size Large and a long sleeve hooded shirt in XXL!

Don't know about the parks but I have purchased XXL WDW-themed clothing at the gift shop in The Poly.

They can be harder to find, but select disney shirts go up to a 4X.

As a rule of thumb just about every shirt/hoodie should go up to XXXL. I've never seen a 4X myself but that's not to say it doesn't exist. On Sunset Blvd in HS in a store called Once Upon a Time we always had larger sizes in stock and it was usually more of the popular t-shirts that you see around Disney. Like a previous poster said, ask cast members if they have any size you need in the back. The worst a cast member can say is no. When all else fails try World of Disney in DTD. If they don't have it then no one will!

Nowhere to be found. This is a relatively new phenomenon and quite frustrating.
