Help! First timer!!

I am making dining reservations in a few days, I have checked and all are available. I am new at this, we have never been to Disney before.
So we have 2 adults, an 11 year old and 5 year old.
Going beginning of march

Staying 5 days 4 nights

Day 1 - 1 snack credit each (to be determined where)
2 table service each at cinderellas table
Day 2- 1 table service each (1030, late breakfast)chef mickeys
1 snacks at epcot
1 quick service dinner at hotel (art of animation)
Day 3- 1 quick service breakfast at hotel
1 table service crystal palace lunch
1 quick service dinner at magic kingdom before fireworks
Day 4- Ohana breakfast ( paying cash for this character meal)
1 quick service belles grandballroom (forgot what it is called lol)
1 snack before illuminations

This leaves us each 1 snack to use whenever...
what do you think???? We arrive around 1pm on the first day, and the fifth day we leave really early.

I'm relatively new too (only 1 trip under my belt) but I would honestly say that you should pay out of pocket for CRT (Cinderella) and use the extra credit for Ohana. CRT isn't that much more per person ($36 vs $45-$55ish?) but you'd be spending the equivalent of $75ish per adult person in dining credits. Yes, tip is included, which it isn't at Ohana, and you're doing it at the beginning of your trip so you're not sick of food yet...so YMMV. :-) However, if I did it again...I'd save the credit for something else and pay for CRT out of pocket.

I agree with the PP, pay OOP for CRT and use a credit for Ohana.

I'm not sure I do agree.

For starters, if you pay OOP for CRT, you'll need another TS ADR somewhere to fill your four TS credits available.

Secondly, I assume CRT is for dinner your first night which is just under $66 for adults and $40 for kids. Ohana breakfast is only $22 and $13. (It looks like other PP is comparing Ohana dinner prices with CRT breakfast prices; the opposite of what OP is doing.) The normal breakdown for value of TS meals in order to break even on the DDP is $35 for adults. CRT doesn't quite get there (2TS=$70), but you'd need to find a TS that would add up to $48 to make it with your Ohana price point for adults. That could be very difficult to do especially with the 11 yr old.

If you do decide to pay OOP for CRT and add another TS, I would still use the DDP for your one kiddo at CRT and pay OOP for the other two TS. You won't find two kids TS meals that add up to the $40.

Check out my confirmed snacks thread on what items you can use your snack credit for. Some of them are even big enough to use as a light meal.
