Monorail broken?

Does anybody know what us going on with the monorail ?
It's been broken on and off for the past couple if days. It's really a pain to have to haul a double stroller on the bus :D
Just wondering if anybody knows. Nobody here seems to know anything.

Which monorail? There are three different lines. The Epcot line was down most of the day on 12/6.

Although it might be broken, it might be the result of a political figure there. I was talking to a CM last month (from my home town, we talked daily) and he was telling me that it's such a pain when political figures show up and stay at a monorail hotel. Then they have to "shut down" the monorail whenever the political figure wants to go, say from his monorail hotel to MK. And Disney doesn't let them tell the guests anything other than "the monorail's temporarily broken." He said he feels bad, guests get upset, generally bad. He said that while many people are excited when they hear of a political figure coming to WDW, the transportation CMs aren't.

Yesterday the resort line was broken. Right now nothing is moving through Contemporary. So the express mono thru contemporary and resort monorail both down.

Yep big time. Waiting for the bus now hopefully the CM was correct when she said there's a direct bus to Epcot and not just to TTC.

I would be really po'd if i paid to stay at a monorail resort and couldnt use if because of someone who thinks they are better than the rest. I would be speaking to a manager asap to get some sort of comp

LOL! After waiting for 30min for an Epcot bus I gave up and taking the studios bus. So finally after 1hr of waiting and being on the bus I am on the way to Hollywood studios (after stops at poly And GF). Still have to take the boat over.
If the merry mixer closes before I get there I will be royally p o ed.

The monorail is down due to a power outage.

Don't hate the person who may be successful. They may not want all of the attention, such as having the monorail all to themselves. That sounds more like Disney policy. That said, if it is a politican that has Secret Service protection, this may be their policy.

Yes, if I was staying at a monorail hotel, I would be upset too.

Yesterday evening, the resort monorail was down. We had a Chef Mickey's reservation and so we walked over. Normally, I would not have minded, BUT it was raining! (And I gambled with new shoes this trip, which didn't pay off.) After EMH last night, we had to take the ferry, but I don't know if that is normal so late? Anyhow, then as we were leaving MK today around 3:30pm... the monorails were not going again. I'm not sure what the deal is, but last night I could have used some monorail action.

It's too bad the monorail is down. I would be bummed if I stayed at a monorail resort & ended up having to bus everywhere anyway.

I've seen lots of threads where people have complained about the monorail being offline or broken. I've also seen lots of threads from people who have stayed at monorail resorts & never had a problem. Does anyone know of any semi-official statistics about how often the monorail is actually broken?
