They have a Minecraft card at walmart. You can buy that and download with a code. Its about $27.

How was she going to play it? I know it's on XBOX but there's an app that's like $6.99 for iPhone and Android. My daughter plays it on my Kindle.

My sons downloaded it using a 1600 pts Xbox card ($20). I think you need to have Xbox live account, though.

There is also a computer version you can purchase and download from Minecraft's website. My kids have been playing it that way for months.

We have all versions of minecraft - ipad/iphone app, xbox and computer. My DS and all of his similar aged friends are so into this game, it's a little crazy! They all prefer to play on the computer, but if they must, they'll pull out ipads/iphones/ipods and play that way.
anyway, to answer your question....Target has minecraft gift cards that are the cost of the online/computer version for $27. Just saw them last night. That will allow them to download the game to their computer and play away. There is no montly fee for this game - just the one time charge - which is really wonderful. |

Both of my kids play the PC version of this game and have for over a year now...they love it! I just bought them both Creeper Mousepads for Christmas and also my daughter wanted a Creeper Hoodie, so she is getting that!

My boys play on the PC as well. It depends on which platform her friends are playing on- XBOX plays with other XBOX and PC can play with other PC.
The interactive portion is the part that she probably wants. |
