Contact lenses on a budget

My triplets got contacts recently. We ordered the first sets from the office affiliated with our pediatric ophthalmologist. They all need Vertex Toric X-R lenses. I checked n the Internet and found that lens.com is much cheaper than going through the doctor's office. Does anyone have experience with lens.com?
Thanks!

If you feel safe with somewhere like Walmart, 1-800-contacts is owned by them and will price match ANY other site. I do it every 6 months when I reorder. I usually match through a site I found called discountcontactlenses.com. Just call the number with the product info, the other site info and price and your RX info. Very easy!!! Hope this helps!

We order from OptiContacts and they're the cheapest I have ever found. Just looked up your lenses and they have them for 66 a box. 1800 Contacts has them for a little over 100 a box. Been very very happy with OptiContacts.

I have used both ACLENS.com and ContactLensKing.com You might be able to find discount codes for either of them. I have been happy with both companies.

I wear torics and have used ACLENS.com and contactsight.com in the past. I received shipments from both quickly and the only problem I had was contactsight.com didn't send a rebate form one time. This was easily remedied with an email and they sent it right away. Contactsight.com was the cheapest I found.

It's been a couple of years since using an online retailer because my optometrist has been able to provide the better deal using my vision insurance and their rebate.

Contact lens king has always been the best with both price and customer service!

Be sure to always ask if there are any promotions going on for the lenses -- the last time I ordered DS's lenses, the manufacturer had two rebates going -- one for $25 and one for $50 -- and I could get BOTH of them together. And check your health insurance for what they'll pay. Even check the manufacturer's website to see if they have anything going that you can use.

I also use 1-800 contacts. My contacts cost double through them compared to another site I found (can't remember the name)...BUT the price match was awesome. I emailed them the link and within 12 hours I had my refund.

I have been ordering my contacts through walgreens.com. Each time I've ordered through them, I have found them to be cheaper than 1-800 contacts for my toric lenses (I've used two separate brands the past several years and both were cheaper) and my husbands non-toric lenses. They usually run pretty good deals. I just recently ordered a years worth of contacts b/c they had a 25% off special.

I get my contacts from Sams Club. Like Walmart they too use 1-800-contacts, but their price is quite a bit less than both.

In my area the doctors offices will price match the online stores, and there is one place in my town whose price was actually already lower than Sam's Club prices. I usually do a google search for dd lenses, then print out and take in. Her last Rx I found the cheapest on replace my lens dot com and took it in to her eye doctor to match price. If free shipping, I sometimes just order online.

Walmart doesn't own 1800 contacts. 1800 contacts tends to have higher prices then other vendors. Some customers use their match policy others prefer to buy from a company that offers good prices without having to beg. Some vendors have shipping and handling fees which aren't apparent until you complete your order.

COSTCO doesn't carry every brand of lens. The lenses they carry are priced right. Might not be the absolute lowest price available but always a good price.
