Odd places you have seen the disney cruise line bus ( fun )

Whilst driving around orlando during our wdw holiday in october we noticed the disney cruise line bus in some very odd places & at odd times of the day lol

1. A petting zoo in Kissimmee ?
2. Target parking lot ( driver doing shopping? )
3. Our resort at times we could not work out fitted in with any cruise going or coming.... Any other odd sightings lol?

On days that there are no cruises leaving or arriving they do use the buses for other purposes. I have seen them all over Orlando as well

I see thanks. On my next vacation I might begin to take pictures of it in odd places for my own amusement. Maybe it has no driver and likes to go out all by itself lol.

Saw a DCL bus in Clearwater, FL a few years ago.

On non cruise days they use the DCL buses for the ME service if they need additional buses....same as they use the ME buses sometimes for DCL transfers to the port from the WDW resorts if needed.

DCL Transfers and Disney's Magical Express are both operated by Mears. On days they don't need buses for DCL or DME, I'm sure they would prefer to have someone else pay to use those buses.

I see so they could be used for example by a local school trip going to the petting zoo.

I work for Starwood Hotels and every year for our Celebration, all the Disney Mears buses (including the cruise line buses) come to our offices in Orlando to drive us all over to the Swan and Dolphin.

How nice! Is that organised by Disney?

I've noticed them too during non-cruise days. Its becoming a game for my family and I to try to spot the DCL bus though we call them porthole buses. I finally got the cruise booked, and I can't wait to finally ride on of those buses. I'd really like to see those pictures you mentioned. I found a picture earlier with at least 4 of them (at the terminal) and sent it to my mother. She got quite a laugh out of it.

our church chartered buses through MEARS for a youth group trip

with all the kids ready to go to camp for a week, here come two DCL buses into our parking lot.

a number of kids went nuts thinking the church was surprizing them with a cruise

NOT!

Oh dear. I can see how that might lead to disappointment.....

We were originally going to do a 3-night also but decided for the 4-night for the first one. I actually told my dad I'd be happy just to ride the porthole bus to see the ship and come back. I wouldn't need to get on the ship. We can't wait for our cruise. It seems so far away. At least we're still doing our bi-annual trips to WDW to help with the waiting.
