Just adopted our new "Disney" dog!

He's a year old lab mix and his name is "Mickey." That's the name he came with. His birthday is Dec. 5th, the same as Walt Disney.

He's a sweet boy that is surprisingly calm for his age though he is plenty playful! We also had a great experience with the Atlanta Humane Society where we adopted him from. Those guys are really wonderful.

Any good suggestions for toys? I want to make sure he has plenty so he won't chew up the house!

My happy thought: Sitting on Main Street eating ice cream.

Antler chews are great, of course only if you are supervising. We've been impressed by balls made by Planet Dog and West Paw Designs. Good luck with your new pup!

Kongs are great, and if you get the super duper one, there is less chance of him destroying it.

Congratulations! Shelter pups are awesome!

I second Kong and West Paw toys. Those are the only toys that survive our 1year old lab. I get the West Paw toys from amazon as PetSmart doesn't carry them.
