Kindle Help
I bought DS13 a Kindle Fire HD for Christmas. Can I get the Kindle registered and set up without opening the box it came in?

If you bought it through Amazon, it should already be registered to your Amazon account.

Yes, if bought through Amazon, it will already be registered. If bought at a store, then you'll have to register it. But, I think you can get the box open without destroying it.
Is he going to have his own account or will he be on yours?

It won't take long to set up. You may be able to purchase music and apps and books and have them in your cloud so that when you set up the kindle all of your content can be downloaded in a few minutes.

I finally found a phone contact for Amazon. I was able to get the Kindle Fire HD registered without opening the box.
