Can I upgrade to discounted DVC annual pass?
I purchased a 6 day hopper from my local Disney Store for around $360 for our trip next month. Now I see that I could have purchased a Premium Annual Pass through DVC for $399! Is there anyway to upgrade to the PAP and just pay the difference or am I out of luck?

If you can physically get yourself to WDW before the offer expires, 12/31/12 you can upgrade your ticket. Otherwise you may hold you ticket for some future trip (unused tickets do not expire until after first use) and purchase the discount PAPs through members services.

Yes, just take your hopper to any Guest Services location just outside a park entrance or at Downtown Disney. Although, when you say your trip is NEXT month, the special $399 ends Dec. 31, 2012. If you aren't traveling before then, probably not, but I'd call Member Services to see if your unused hopper can be exchanged for a voucher* through the ticketing dep't. Be sure to have your hopper(s) in hand. If they can do it, they will need code numbers off of the hoppers.
*The voucher has to be traded for the PAP by December 31, 2013.

An upgrade can only be done at a ticket or Guest Relations window. Member Services does not have full access to the Automated Ticketing System and only has the capability to sell tickets or reservations for tickets.
So your best be, if you want the promotion-priced PAP is to order them from Member Services and get them activated during 2013. Then use your unused six day tickets at a later time.
