Tickets - pay in dollars or pounds
Hi,
I'm being a tad dim and can't get my head around whether I should pay for park tickets in £ or $. Was looking at purchasing through Orlando Attractions, they give you the choice I think. I would be using a basic Natwest credit card probably. Help heads hurting

It really depends on the exchange rate and whether or not your card issuer will charge a fee for a foreign currency transaction.

Not sure how much their rates vary from card to card, just looked at the first one on their site http://www.natwest.com/downloads/per...summary_13.pdf
They charge 2.75% for foreign transactions. If you post the prices in both currencies I can compare. I just looked and could not work out our to get a £ quote for a US ticket.

To be honest, not much in it. But by my reckoning, sterling will be just a touch cheaper.

I presume you are buying Magic Your Way tickets? Have you priced up other sites, for example www.undercovertourist.com (their prices tend to be pretty reasonable)? I cannot get on the UT site at work so can't compare but, having looked at the Orlando Attractions website, it looks as though you are buying the 5 day MYW with 2 days free and water park fun and more (so 7-day tickets with additional water park/Disney Quest access). It might be worth checking out UT's prices as a comparison, although I have to admit those prices look quite good. Also, are you aware that you won't be able to 'hop' with those tickets?

So paying in $'s you would pay £654 Best way would be using a fee free credit card like Post Office or Halifax Clarity the cost would be £636, saving £13 plus if you don't have one yet Post Office give £18 cashback via Quidco.
