GGGRRR Yankee Candle Mistletoe Candle

My dh and I bought a Yankee Candle mistletoe last week and I have had it on ALL weekend and IT DOES NOT SMELL. Not only does it not smell like Mistle Toe, it just has no scent at all.

We also purchased the Cherri or something like that but I don't think it will matter since THERE IS NO SMELL.

I remembered we got the same one last year and it smelled so nice.
Could I have gotten a dud??? Just very strange.

Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks.

If you're positive it's not just you (I know there are times when I have very little sense of smell), I'd take it back. (and please don't take this badly, I don't mean to offend, but it's all one word -- mistletoe -- I was wondering if this was one of the new "man" candles -- scent of toe, yuck).

When I drink I find its easier to watch my children because I see all 3 of them double, so all 6 of them of them take all my attention

They have a great return policy so if you aren't satisfied you can bring it back.

Did you get it at an Outlet? I went this Friday, and none of the tarts had any smell. I buy them all the time, but never form the outlet store.

THANK YOU. I corrected my post and the mispellings.
It's not just me. My dh and ds cannot smell it. I also had it on since 10 am this morning and my mother came over for dinner and didn't smell anything either.

Thank you. I am not sure I am going to drive back to BB&B since I like to avoid the stores during Christmas and do most/all my shopping online or pick up restaurant gc, etc. I work during the day so would have to go after work and not loving that idea. BUT, I won't purchase it again.

Me either but last year it smelled like a strong sented Christmas Tree. It smells like that when you open the jar but not when we are buring it???

No, I got it from a BB&B regular store that I would guess has a very high turn over. It is always busy and there were only a few mistletoe ones left????

Does anyone remember last year/a few years ago when someone said Yankee Candle was being sold? Is this correct or am I getting mixed up?
I am so disappointed since having everyone over for dinner this year but I guess not disappointed enough to go return it. Oh well. Thanks all.

oohhhh, ps, I just noticed my post count says: 3456. That's cute LOL

I would take it back............if you don't want to go during the busy time, do it after. They shouldn't have a problem.

I have a Mistletoe burning now and it smells so good.

I am happy for you though.
Thank you though for posting since I guess it is my candle. VERY STRANGE.

Is there another candle company that people use or is Yankee the best?

Thanks so much!

I like Yankee the best. Been using them for the last 15 years or so.
I did try Kringle.....they are good too. But all white and I like color.

lol..I was in the Yankee Candle store yesterday and saw the new line for men "Freshly Mowed Lawn" "Football Something" and my personal favorite, "Man Town" They all stunk like old man cologne OP, take it back, it shouldnt be a problem at all and if you want one that smells fantastic, get Lilac Blossom. When that thing is lit, I can actually smell it outside my house from the driveway

I haven't bought a candle at Yankee since I discovered the candles at Bath and Body Works (Slatkin).

They are amazing and unlike Yankee, they burn evenly (and no black soot!) and you will have an empty jar when you are done.

Try them ~ you'll never go back to Yankee.

OMG I LOVE Man Town candle. It smells like 8th grade dance. Preferred Stock or Drakkar Noir, perhaps? Brings back so many memories! (My crush wore Preferred Stock...so yeah.)

OP, I have had to return a candle before because it didn't smell. The manager at my local Yankee Candle said that it happens sometimes and they are happy to take it back for a refund or exchange. I'm not sure of the policies with BB&B, but hold onto your receipt and take it back when you can. Doesn't hurt to try.

I'm sitting here in my "Christmas at the Beach" scented living room now.

I'm the opposite. I dislike those candles and only buy Yankee!

I don't always sniff in the store...............if I know what I want, I just go get it.

And I am not a fan of the Bath and Body Works candles either.
