BWV parking
If anyone else staying at BWV from Dec. 5-8 was denied parking in the lot on the convention side can you please complain to DVC Member Satisfaction? I was repeatedly denied access even though the lot was nearly empty. On Sat. evening the guard blocking the entrance asked for my convention pass. I told him I was a guest at the resort and had a BoardWalk parking pass. He told me the lot is for the use of convention guests not resort guests. He said I had to park in the lot near the front entrance. I told him that lot was full with the overflow of people not allowed to park in the convention side lot. He told me to go across the street and park behind the Hess station. I paid for valet parking instead. But that will turn out to be an expensive alternative during busy times when the lot by the entrance is full and we are denied parking in the lot on the convention side. This morning, Sun., Dec. 9, the guard and "No Parking" sign were gone.

Doesn't make much sense does it.
I suggest that your also send a email to WDW since they are controlling the policy. wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com dvcmembersatisfactionteam@disneyvacationclub.com Bill

We arrived at BWV last night at 8pm. There was a guard at that lot we stopped and told her we were resort guests and were allowed to park in that lot. You are right that lot is virtually empty.

We just stayed at BWV for one night (Dec 8-9) and ended up using Valet due to that lot being closed Saturday afternoon. Lot was mostly empty and we didn't ask if we could park, we just made a u-turn and used valet instead. We have a handicap placard so we can valet for free so it wasn't that big of an issue for us.

Yes, though a gratuity is still customary. We only really use it at the Boardwalk as self parking there can be the most difficult at times.

I stayed at BWV in October and sometimes we were waved right in and sometimes they'd refuse us and send us to the other lot (usually when we were in a rush and needed to be somewhere it seemed). I don't know why they would refuse it, the lot was never full, usually it was later in the day (after any potential convention), AND the front desk told us to park there.
