How many times can you rebook an OBB?

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone knew how many times I can rebook an on board booking and keep the discount? For example, if i have a dummy booking for Dec '13 and go online and book a WC Fantasy cruise, the decide a better one is announced to somewhere new, can I then do the modify and still maintain the discount on that new one? Or once I rebook once, have I used up that discount?

don't know how MANY times, but you run the risk of losing benefits if you change it... the reduction of onboard credit to platinum and gold members was a big one recently

There is currently no limit to the number of times a reservation can be moved. However, as above, you do risk a loss of benefits by moving. You will get whatever the current offer is on the cruise you move to, not what you got at the time of booking.

For example, I have a 7 night cruise booked with $350 in onboard credit as a platinum guest. If I move this cruise, I'll still get 10% off the cruise fare on my new date, but my OBC will drop to $200 since that is the current offer on a 7 night cruise,

Wow! Thanks guys. I had no idea they would change the OBC amount. That was the only thing I thought would stay consistent. It was only the discount I was worried about. Great to know. That puts a bit of a damper on what I want to book.

When did this happen? The FAQ thread still has the old numbers, how do I find out what the new spread is? I need to adjust my budget, LOL!

Booking and Re-Booking and Re-Booking

Huskydogg, we did just what you described: booked a dummy cruise for Dec 2013 for the OBB discount; moved it to July 2014 and later to August 2014 (both on the Fantasy and longer cruises than the original). OBB discount followed us along. The OBC likely changed (it would, of course), however we knew that we were going to rebook the original, shorter cruise, so it was a given.

And since we did additional cruising between the time of our booking for Dec '13 and our rebooking (changing CC levels), the difference may not have been that great. [I have no idea what our original OBC amount was.]

Currently, your Castaway Club level has nothing to do with your OBC when you book on board. The OBC amounts are $100 for a 4 nights or less, and $200 for 7 nights or longer.

What if you do an OBB booking for a 4-night cruise, then later change it to a 7-night? Would you get a $100 or $200 OBC?

In this case you would get the $200 OBC.
