Holy cow! I just heard this about Kate M

I'm watching TV and they're, of course, reporting on the royal pregnancy. The reporter is waxing on about what great shape Kate is in, including this statement: "Kate is 5''10" and weighs 95-lbs. She is very healthy and in great physical condition." Holy cow! Her BMI would be 13.6~ Low normal is 18, for a woman her age. No one can convince me she is "healthy and in great physical condition." Nobody gets to be 5"10" and 95-lbs without some serious anorexia and probably bulimia. It canNOT be safe for anyone to be pregnant with this low BMI. Note: Princess Diana was also well known to have A/B.

She doesn't appear anywhere near that thin. Maybe the reporter botched the metric conversion LOL

I wouldn't be surprised. I hope she embraces the changes that come with pregnancy! Because you cannot stop them!

There's no way somebody 5'10 weighs 95 and looks healthy. That would be almost skeletal.

Well, from the looks of her collar bones, i would believe it. To me, she looks far to thin for her height.

I had actually read that she weighed about 120 at 5'10". That would probably still have her BMI a little low, though.

My wife was 5'7" and 98 lbs when we met and she was borderline sickly looking. She was 115 when we got married and most folks still referred to her as a "stick" lol. Even at her current weight of 125, she's considered quite thin. And again she's 3" shorter than 5'10"

How would a reporter -- or anyone outside of her and her doctor -- know her weight?

Oh my goodness! I hope this was an error. She's so lovely and I was delighted that she finally "got her guy" and is now expecting a baby.

I hope she's eating properly.

With my 1st baby, I was 5 10 and 110lbs and my Dr. said I was underweight, think I gained 40 lbs. during that pregnancy. I was always accused of being anorexic but wasn't, just ate when I was hungry. Wish I could curb my eating now. She does look thin, but I think she weighs more than 95 lbs.

A woman that thin would cease having periods and wouldn't be furtile enough to get pregnant, unless her morning sickness is really bad to cause significant weight loss.

I was going to post the same thing. Someone close to me was 5'5" and weighed 107 lbs. That was the point where she stopped having a menstral cycle. She was very thin and sickly looking. Over 10 lbs less and she would have been in grave danger.

She got her periods back when she hit 115 lbs.

The reporter was incorrect about her weight. 120, maybe - not 95.

It can't be right. My friend is a tiny bit over 5 foot and is 97 pounds. She's not sickly looking, just petite. If she was 10 inches taller and that height she look like a skeleton.
