Woah!
And we picked there because we thought it wouldn't be quite as crowded!
We have a 2:30 ressie for Tuesday....

Made it to the table. Sat up front with two families and had a great time. Food and service was excellent!

You should be fine. We do lunches at Biergarten all the time and have never waited more than five minutes.

OP - what time was your reservation? It's quite possible with the Candlelight Processional, dinners are more popular as I believe it's part of the package deal.

I think this has to do with how things are set up in the Biergarten. People tend to stay longer than they should, and it gets crowded.

My family had the same experience in 2010. Great food though ! Service was meh..

I've made it a point to give WDW feedback on this more than once after returning from my trips. It somewhat defeats the purpose of reservations if everyone has to wait in one line to check in, since walk-ups typically take longer to get processed.

My recommendation was that a CM could simply walk down the line with a tablet - or even just a clipboard - and identify those guests with reservations.

But so far the system continues as is. Biggest backup seems to happen at the World Showcase restaurants. It feels like it takes forever to check in at La Hacienda.
