A Few Questions about Boma breakfast

Hi, I had a few questions about the Boma breakfast buffet.

First off, in anyone's experience, do they have anything with shellfish in it? My husband is allergic and while I am not worried about the way the food is prepared at a non-buffet restaurant, I am concerned about possible accidental cross contamination by guests getting food at a buffet.

Second, can you get an alcoholic beverage at breakfast - like a mimosa (for an extra charge of course )?

Third, do they have Mickey waffles?

Thanks for any help!

I ate at Boma 3 times on my last trip and I did get Mickey waffles. I'm not sure if they are on the regular buffet or not, mine were gluten free.

When you make your reservation note that there is a shellfish allergy. At the restaurant remind your server of the allergy. The chef should come out and tell you which dishes to avoid. We were there in October and I can't remember any shellfish on the breakfast buffet, but I wasn't looking that closely and also dishes can change.

Second, can you get an alcoholic beverage at breakfast - like a mimosa (for an extra charge of course )? Not alcoholic, but the frunch is delicious.

Third, do they have Mickey waffles? I didn't see any.

Thanks for any help!
My answers in red.

The breakfast buffet at Boma is one our favorites. Lots of good things to choose from. Mainly American standards, but some dishes with African overtones.

Thanks for the reply! I have been marking all of our reservations with his allergy - I have to keep reminding myself to do it because this is our first trip with his allergy. I was just wondering if maybe they had shrimp for omelets or something (I have seen that before). To me, shellfish isn't something that I would normally associate with breakfast...lol. I am just worried about cross contamination happening once the food is set out.

what is frunch juice?

darn, i love mickey waffles!!

Here is the recipe from Allears:
http://allears.net/din/rec_fr.htm

It's basically an orange, pineapple, mango, and lemon juice blend. It's very good!
