Ground Transportation...???
Ok So I am going to be booking my Disneymoon soon and I have a question about the ground transportation option. The last time I was in Orlando for a cruise I saw lots of Disney Buses. Those are the one's I take correct? Do they cost extra?
On the site it says Disney's Magical Express: "Skip baggage claim! If you arrive at Orlando International Airport between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., our complimentary Disney's Magical Express service* will take your luggage from the plane straight to your room at Walt Disney World Resort while you ride in hassle-free comfort to your Resort hotel. (If you arrive before 5:00 a.m. or after 10:00 p.m., claim your luggage at baggage claim and take it with you on the Disney's Magical Express motor coach.) When your vacation is over, you and your bags are taken back on deluxe motor coaches from your Disney Resort hotel to the Orlando International Airport. For those Guests traveling on participating airlines** (domestic flights only), you can receive your return airline boarding pass and check your luggage at your Disney Resort hotel. Bypassing airport check in is just another benefit of Disney's Magical Express." I'm so confused......

Disney's magical express only runs from the MCO airport to the resorts. There are other buses that run from resorts to the disney theme parks. Which are you asking about?

Disney's Magical Express is transportation from the airport to your Disney resort. It is free and can be booked through reservations. It is only for those folks staying at a WDW resort. Once your flight reservations are made, you can book ME (they will ask for your airline, flight number and arrival time). You'll receive a booklet about a month or so before your trip containing your tickets and yellow luggage tags. You can either bring your bags on the ME bus or you can have Disney deliver them later to your room. It is a very convenient service.
WDW has lots of other transportation options once you are on Disney property -- buses, monorails and watercraft. As a WDW resort guest, you can use any of them free. And of course you can rent a car if you wish either at the airport or at a WDW resort. |

no cost to you.
you just need to make your reservation with DME as soon as you make the room reservation or the plane reservation whichever comes last.

I would imagine that you could make your DME reservation as late as your arrival day and pick up the voucher at the DME check in desk at the Orlando airport. Obviously this would require you to pick up your bags at baggage claim and take them on the bus with you.

Go a head and book Magical Express when you book your package. Later when you have your flight information you can go to disneymagicalexpress.com and update your flight information, but make sure you do that 45 days before your vacation.
